Eureka, Ellen!

My Nancy Fyffe (Fife), daughter of James Fyffe of Maryland and Kentucky,
married John Higgins in Mason County KY 19 Mar 1805. I have followed the
lines of all of Nancy's siblings, but have been unable to trace her and
John. I have John Higgins mentioned in an 1828 family letter. Have you found
John and wife (wives?) on the census?

Incidentally, my grandfather William C. Fyffe married Mina O'Neal near
Springfield, Greene County, Mo in 1881. Mina's mother was a Nancy Logan. In
their courting letters, they jokingly call one another "Cuz and Cousin."
Everyone else in the family thinks that that was a term of endearment. But
it always has always intrigued this genealogist granddaughter. I have looked
for a family relationship between the Fyffes and The Logans, but have never
found one. Just maybe they knew more than we do?!

Do you think that my Nancy Fyffe Higgins died early and the same John
Higgins remarried your Elizabeth Logan?
