Hi Sue:

I am inquiring to see if you have firmed up your plans to visit Frankfort,
KY. yet. Also, I need to know what you will need in the way of background
information from me concerning the Thomas Ausbrook/Ozbrook/Osbrook (s) birth
record we are seeking. Please let me know details and I will plan
accordingly.

Since I last spoke to you I found a possible connection for Thomas' parents
to be in that area. At the Mason County website there is an abstract of
land deeds posted; the very first deed extract lists the sale of land on 14
July 1798 from a Jessey Foster to a Dreury Ragsdale and James Threlkeld. I
don't know if it is the same Jessey Foster or not, but there is a Jessey
Foster who married Sarah Ozbrooks on 24 Jun 1793 in Halifax County, VA.
Jessey was born in 1754, but I have no death record for either he or Sarah.
Sarah could be Thomas' aunt as she was the sister of Michael Ozbrooks Jr..
Their father, Michael Ozbrooks Sr. was a land surveyor/farmer whose home
was in Halifax County, VA. I do not know if Michael Ozbrooks went to Mason
County, KY with his sister and Jessey Foster, took a bride in VA. or KY.
and fathered Thomas or not, but to me it seems plausible.

Please let me know what you need from me in preparation for your trip to
Frankfort and when you plan to go.

Thank You!

John E. Bartos
