Surname: John Dixon, Charles H Dixon

I am interested in any Dixon family members in Mason County.I am trying
to locate John and son Charles H Dixon that lived in Nicholas County. I
was told they crossed the Ohio River in covered wagon during a heavy freeze
in early 1800's.The family may have stayed in Maysville or Mason County
before moving to Nicholas.They had wagons that carried goods from river
into Nicholas and surrounding counties.Any information. May be in 1790
or later census. Probably came from Pa or Ohio originally.
