Seek information on the Samuel BALDWIN appearing in the Maon Co. KY 1810 Census probably in or near Washington. He was age 26-45.

One of his daughters was aged 10-16 which would be the right age for my ancestor: Ruth M. BALDWIN born 1797 North Carolina. Parents are unknown but her grandson was named Samuel SMITH s/o Winfry McHenry SMITH b.1825.Clay.Co.\MO.

She had married in an unknown county c1815 Abijah H. SMITH b.c1793.VA. Their first child, Sarah Emily, was born in KY.
They removed from Clay Co. MO in 1828 to Pike Co. IL, 1838 to Jo Davies Co. IL, and in 1842 Clayton Co. IA where they died.

Samuel BALDWIN c1815 bought or sold house and lot involving James BALDWIN of Washington\Mason\KY. In the 1810 Mason Co. KY Census they appear on same page and are probably cousins if not brothers from Ashe Co. NC.
