My G-grandmother was a Mingua. Her name was Sarah Belle and she was married to William Alexander Clark. They lived in Germantown. According to her death certificate, her father's name was Thomas Mingua. Do you have him in your Mingua line? I can't find any info about him.

Thanks.

Hi,
Anyone out there know anything about the Mingua's or the Hay's?? John Mingua was a farmer in Mason County in 1850. He may have been a tobacco farmer. He lived near Augusta, Ky. His daughter Judith Ann married Alexander Hay in 1867. Any ideas on how to find out what businesses were in Augusta during the 1850's??

Could someone help me out with the true meaning or definition of the word Dorcas or Darcus as it is used in genealogy? I used to think it just meant that they didn't know the persons name, but now i've even seen it used on marriage certificates. Or is it a real name some times? Would appreciate the help. Thank you.
