Hello! I also descend from a McVay; Hannah McVay b.Nov.11, 1782 Lancaster,
Lancaster Co. Pa. daughter of William McVay. Hannah married John Henry
MESSERITZ (b. Nov. 02, 1781, Hamburg, Germany) on Nov. 11, 1811. She d.July
02, 1870, Adams Co. Ohio, where she and John had raised all of their
children. I further descend from their daughter, Sarah "Sallie Ann"
Messeritz b. Jan. 12, 1824 Adams Co. Ohio, who married Isaac WASHBURN bef.
1847 in Adams Co. Ohio. I would appreciate any help on the McVay line that
you might be able to offer! Thanks!
P.S. My Mason Co. Connection is Rebecca MALOTT b. Nov. 23, 1800 Mason Co.
Ky., married to Abraham WASHBURN (Rebecca and Abraham were Isaac Washburn's
parents) Feb. 22, 1820 Adams Co. Ohio.

I am a descendant of Levinah Louise Stewart West & I just came across your
message. Happy to share whatever I have. Actually think your mother was
mentioned in a letter that another Stewart/West researcher has posted
previously to several lists & I saved it. I am particularily interested in
your comment that the middle name of one of LLS's son sas McVey because I
have been interested in trying to link those familes. The McVeys married
into several WEst branches. I assume it was either James or John who had the
middle name of McVey?
