If anyone finds a documented connection between the Owen County Noels
and those who came into central KY from Virginia with The Traveling
Church, please post the info. Several prominent ministers in the fabled
Traveling Church were named Noel. Much has been written about a Silas
Noel, in particular. Since The Traveling Church had such a large
presence in Fayette, Scott, and Franklin Counties, I think our Owen
Noels must somehow connect to those lines. I pick up my Noel line,
CALVIN NOEL, in the 1850 census of Monterey, Owen County, KY. However,
I can not document this line any further back.
