Hello,
I am seeking information on my ggggrandfather, Reuben Kemp. He moved to what was then Bourbon County around 1792 as he and his brother Edward appear on the tax list for that year. His daughter Elizabeth married Elijah McClenahan in 1793 and Reuben is said to have built the first jail in Pendleton County.

Reuben was also said to have been a blacksmith and he did have 700# iron bar in the inventory of his estate when he died in 1807. Around 1799, he sold two lots in Falmouth to William Downard and I believe because of that he may have lived in Falmouth and might be buried in the old cemetery.

I would be glad to have the name of a paid or volunteer researcher that I could contact to learn more about him and his son, Charles. I would also be glad to share what I know about them.

Sincerely,

Charles Kemp
Warren, MI 48092
