Subject: Col. Cave Johnson's "Reminiscences"

My copy of the "Reminiscences from the Life of Col. Cave Johnson" is printed
within the "Johnson Digest", by Robert R. & Louise Stracener Payne, private
printing, 1990.
Included within the Ky Register, May 1922, Vol 20, No. 59 reference, is the
obituary written at the time of his death, (already posted by me in the Boone
County, Ky Archives). Within the obituary, they mention his "Reminiscences" as
being written a short time before his death. At the close of the article is
this reference:
(Reminiscences copied from an old printed record in the possession of Mr.
William Henry Johnson, Georgetown, Kentucky, January 16, 1922. Annie Payne
Giffman)
I get the impression that the Reminiscences was printed in the newspaper, along
with his obituary, in 1850, since the last line of the obituary section reads:
~~~~~~~~~~
A short time before his death he prepared the following narrative, written in
his own steady plain business hand:
~~~~~~~~~~
As time allows, I hope to transcribe the "Reminiscences" and post in the Boone
County Ky Archives.
Thank you,
Polly A. Menendez
