Ralph Van Cleave on first tax list for Shelby Co.
David and Rachael members of Mulberry and Shelbyville Presbyterian Church
Van Cleaves at Boones Station when attacked by Indians (written account)
Squire Boone's wife's maiden name was Jane Van Cleave
Miss Ralph, Yes, Miss Ralph Van Cleave married Benjamin Daugherty on 6-18-1793
Benjamine married Sarah Kearns 12-30-1800
Aaron married Elizabeth Van Cleave 3-4-1794
John married Mariah Kernes 11-8-1794 (this is the books spelling or Kernes)
John married Eunes Van Cleave 9-22-1794 (Were there two Johns? the dates are
coppied accurately)

That's what the book says about VanCleaves. I don't understand the last
entries, but from what I have been able to discern the book is accurate and
written with clarity.
