A tragic highway accident Sunday, June 1 on Highway 31W between Bonnieville and Munfordville, resulted in the instant death of a Taylor County woman, Mrs. Irene Feather Keltner, 46, and her son, Keith Keltner, 15, and which resulted in serious injury to the husband, Earl Keltner. He was taken to Glasgow Community Hospital and later to Louisville. Mr. Keltner is also a county native. Funeral services were held for the mother and son Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Flora Heights Christian Church, Louisville, with the Rev. Paul Reece in charge. Burial was in the Louisville Memorial Gardens. The Keltners were driving to Bowling Green to bring their daughter, Earlene, home from Western Kentucky State College. The accident occurred at 9:20 a.m. on a rain-slickened stretch of road about five miles north of Munfordville. State Police said the stretch near Pine Ridge Hill, has been the scene of more than 50 accidents this year - all during rain. Officers said the tran!

Besides her husband and daughter, Miss Earlene, Mrs. Keltner is survived by her father, Arthur C. Feather, Campbellsville, and two sisters, Mrs. J. B. Morris, Campbellsville, and Mrs. Theodore Wurmser, Louisville. Mrs. Keltner also leaves some half-sisters and a half-brother: Mrs. Martin Miller, Mrs. Fred Faulkner, Jr., Mrs. Adolphus Allen, Jr., Mrs. Elwood Tucker, and Stanley Feather. Attending the services from here were: Mr. and Mrs. A.C.
