To the list - my great grandfather was Charles H. Trout (B. 11/15/89,
married both Frances Morton and Dana Edwards I think). Charles Trout was
born in Trimble COunty but may have moved to other parts of KY or
Indiana. I believe his father was Isaac Trout (Married America Peak).
Isaac's father was Jeremiah Trout who is buried in a cemetery (Trout
Cemetery) in Trimble County that is not catalogued currently.
According to the maps I have, Trout Cemetery is in the Southeastern
corner of land near the intersection of 1256 and Burkhardt Bottom Road.
According to one map I just found, it is on top of the hill near a
cul-de-sac which extends south off of Rt. 1256. I am interested
in seeing where it is and who is buried there if possible. I have been
talking with Joy Mack and she feels it is probably on private property in
that area.
Also, some old maps (and some current maps on the internet) refer to the
town/village/location of Trout. It looks like it was located at the
intersection of 625 and 838, near Corn Creek. I think that is where
Isaac Trout had a farm - I would be interested in learning more about that
location if anyone has any leads.
Joy Mack has recently sent me alot of information she had concerning the
Trouts. I would be interested in hearing from any others interested in the
Trout family and sharing any information I have that might be helpful.
Thanks
Doug Trout

Subject: [KYTRIMBLE] New Kentucky Deaths 1911-2000 Search Engine
Happy 4th of July Weekend everyone -
I have learned of a new searchable site for Kentucky that you will love - I
am planning to add it to the Trimble County Genealogy page but since we
aren't home I can't get to do that till the end of next week - and seeing as
how we are all good friends ...
I just couldn't hold out on you!
Go to this site:
http://userdb.rootsweb.com/ky/death/search.cgi
You can enter in any KY surname and if the person died in KY during those
years it will turn up. You can then add additional info to the listing.
Let me know what you think - it you are like me you will spend way too many
of your holiday weekend hours in front of the computer instead of eating
hotdogs!
Have fun!
Maggie
