Subject: [KYTRIMBLE] Web Site of Ancestors in Trimble, Carroll, Gallatin Cos, KY
Date: Sat, 29 Jul 2000 11:16:37 -0700
Hi -
I have uploaded a lot of new data into my web site. The primary line is
KING which also contains ADAMS, HANCOCK and HARDIN from the Trimble Co area.
There is also material for associated families BRADLEY, CRIBBENS and
MORROW. The KINGs specifically were located around Corn Creek in Trimble Co
as were the ADAMS. At one time, some of the HANCOCKs were in Bedford. The
KINGs were also located around Locust in Carroll Co - my portion of the
KINGs.
The address is http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~purdue/
If your line connects with one of the surnames above, there is a good
chance that we have a connection.
Originally, my KING line was in Maryland and prior to 1700 moved to
Westmoreland Co, VA. The migration includes Prince George Co, Fairfax Co and
Loudoun Cos in VA.
Around 1790, the KING line moved to KY. I am not certain of the first 10-15
years, but they were in Gallatin Co ca 1800 and remained in Carroll Co until
after 1900. The HARDINS were in early Trimble Co, but I lost track of them.
I hope that you will take a look and PLEASE contact me if you are
interested in any of the lines.
THANKS!!
Donald KING
