Jan,

Do not know anything in Barbourville...but some surley does. I was wandering you live in Kings Mills...I was born in Butler County, Hamilton, Ohio in 1955 and lived in Maud, Ohio now West Chester, Ohio. Do you have any Hinkle, or Mercer, relation. I live now in Highland County, Hillsboro, Ohio. I will be attending the James Madison Hinkle Sr. Family reunion September 16th 2006 at the Piney Grove Baptist Church, Whitley County, Williamsburg, Kentucky. James Madison Hinkle Sr., is my 3rd Great Grandfather, then Peter Hinkle, William McClancy, Homer Leslye and Father Le Roy and myself Lisa.

Good Luck in your research

Does anyone know when the genealogy library in Barbourville is open. I was
told that the Historical Society there had a good library. I'm coming down for
the genealogy workshop and staying a few extra days so I thought I might stop
by there and look thru their early records before Whitley County was formed.
