Subject: [KansasCity] Anthony SHANE (or CHENE, CHEIN, CHESNE or variations)1834 & prior

Could anyone tell me how to find a death certificate, if one exists, for
Anthony SHANE (CHENE, CHEIN,CHESNE etc.) who died in the Kansas City area
on June 11, 1834?
Anthony Shane was a half-blood of French-Canadian and Ottawa descent, and
a rather celebrated Indian interpreter before, during and after the War
of 1812, mostly in the Indiana, Ohio and Detroit area. He grew up with
the Shawnees and was a boyhood friend of Tecumseh. He married a
full-blood Delaware woman, Lamateshe, and in his later years was an
interpreter at the Shawnee Mission in the Kansas City or Leavenworth
area, where he died.
Anthony Shane was, I believe, my ggggrandfather. My gggrandfather was, I
believe, his son Charles Shane.
Any information on Anthony, Charles or any of their relatives would be
immensely appreciated! TIA
