2. First annual commencement of Park college.

3. Suicide of Josie STINE.

5. Frank LATTIMER, of Oakland, Ill., committed suicide on Westport Rd.

7. Clarence N. SMITH, shoots and wounds Scott ROBERTS; wounds
C. E. FREDENBURG, depot master, with a knife and then attempts
suicide by cutting his throat. Death of Gen. Geo. C. BINGHAM.

9. F. D. CAMMON, of Lexington, attempts suicide by shooting himself
at the Coates house. Funeral of Gen. Geo. C. BINGHAM.

12. William SNARR arrested for eloping with George CAMPBELL's wife
from Toronto. Mrs. POWELLSON, of Rosedale, relates to a reporter
the visions of a trance. Lucien MARC and Andre CHRISTOL wrestle
Greco-Roman style. CHRISTOL wins.

13. Mysterious disappearance of Phillip BEST.

16. Suicide of Mary Ann TRACY in the Missouri river.

17. James GREEN shot by Thomas McDANIELS, at Wayne City landing.

21. James OSBORNE, convicted of robbing the mails, escapes from the
Independence jail.

22. CHRISTOL defeated by BERRY in a three-mile swimming match.

23. William Bent SCOTT arrested for forging a post office order.

25. Messrs. TALLY and DELANEY submit a proposition to the council
to construct freight and passenger elevators on the bluffs. Greco-
Roman wrestling match arranged between CHRISTOL and BAUER.

30. Jack IVORY, of St. Louis, killed in the North Missouri freight yards.

31. J. F. BARNES, of Joliet, Ill., arrested for bigamy.
