Hi Rhonda,
with reference to the lists you mention below, would there be any chance to find these people in the period pre 1871?:

Saddler, Christian Wilhelm Olsen, born November 5., 1816, baptized February 9., 1816 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Married on April 1., 1849, Laura Jensine Borch born March 17.,1820, baptized August 6., 1820 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Their children were:
Frederik Wilhelm Olsen born December 31., 1845 in Copenhagen.
Erik Frederik Theodor Olsen born August 2. 1849 in Copenhagen.
Christian Georg Catharinos born December 16., 1852 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

Christian Wilhelm Olsen might have died from yellow fever in 1853.

As a widow, Laura applies for economic support July 19., 1864 in Copenhagen.

Are there any records on their entry or exit to/from USA on the family between August 1849, and July 1864?

Looking forward to hear from you,
sincerely
Claus Hein-Nielsen,
Copenhagen, Denmark.
