It was a predictable event a long time coming that has no easy fix.
But, I also believe this is blessing in a very painful disguise.
There will be just as much good to come from it as bad.

Reasons for doing better should lie within ourselves, should be a basic
instinct, not cussing and shooting. My home was shelter for a family from
Hurricane Ivan who drove for over14 hours. As I said earlier, many lessons
will be learned from this tragedy, but I believe it will turn out to be
'showers of blessings'. This is not a debate; only my beliefs and
observations.
I do much Genealogy and am also concerned (it is by no means my main
concern) about loss of many valuable records. There will be so many
displaced people, with so much of their family history lost. I'm relieved to
see many websites for helping people find people. Could become a valuable
tool later.
Yes, Louisiana will come back stronger and better. By the Grace of God, It
is already happening.
