Anna,
There was a Pierre Landry who was Mayor of Donaldsonville and he started
some schools and was on the public school board.
Regards - Gary
Anna,
I think you need to find the parish church that the school was affiliated
with. I did some volunteering in my old church parish (St. Lawrence the
Martyr, Metairie) and their shool has been closed for about 8 years, and all
the school records are stored at the church rectory.
I am not aware of a J.M. Landry school from New Orleans. I also have an 82
yr old aunt living with me who lived all her life in New Orleans until being
displaced by Hurricane Katrina and she does not remember a J.M. Landry
shool, Catholic nor public.
