I also found John and his family in Rapides, also found them on the 1860 Census for Catahoula, after that I can't seem to find them, except on Marriage records, where he witness some of his children wedding.

If you can be of any help please help!

john was listed at the end of image 76, Julia and the family were on the next page image 77.
This info is on the ancestry.com web site. If you can't find it i might be able to send you a copy.
