MAILLET

The Maillet family of avoyelles took the recent plane crash news hard.
The Maillet family that was killed on Swiss Air flight in Nova Scotia were
not from Avoyelles, but had a connection to Avoyelles in that they had
visited Avoyelles last June at the Maillet family reunion in Bordelonville.
The Demi Maillet family were special guests at the Avoyelles Reunion of
Maillet's as they had been located in the Baton Rouge Phone Book and were
the only ones from France to attend the reunion. They were taking info of
the Avoyelles Maillet clan to Maillet's father who still lives in France to
explore a possible connection between the two families.

CHATELAIN
The Roule Chatelain family was also on the ill fated flight, but we have no
knowlege of any connection to the Chatelain families of Avoyelles. There
are some Chatelain names which appear in Switzerland phone books on the
internet, so perhaps this is their line.

Maillet and Chatelain are two names identified with French families of
Avoyelles.
