Hello,
I am a Thompson, raised around the Rosepine, Vernon Parish area. My Thompson's have been in the Beauregard, Vernon parish area since about 1820. before that my GGGG grandfather was in the St. Landry parish area. His name was John Thompson, he had one son and 6 daughters. The son was Archibald Thompson. John and Arch wound up in the Caddo parish area. John's daughters were scattered from Mississippi to Texas.
None of your Thompson names are recognizable by me. That doesn't mean that we are not kin though. Just that they got seperated maybe somewhere down the line which happened quite often back in the early 1800's
I am not sure but your story sounds familiar. We might have already talked a long time ago.
Best regards
Ron Thompson
