St. Paul's C.M.E. Church of Belcher, Louisiana would like to extend a warm invitation to family, friends, and the surrounding community in celebrating its 11th Annual Memorial Day Program on Sunday, May 28th starting at 3 pm. Pastor Clarence Glover Jr. of First African Freedom Church, Dallas TX will be the keynote speaker. Pastor Glover’s orations will be based on the Sankofa principle of looking back with respect to moving forward with grace. This celebration is in conjunction with the 126th year Church Anniversary centered on the theme "On the Shoulder of Giants, 1880—2006 " which has launched St. Paul’s Cemetery Restoration Project aimed at restoring and maintaining the adjacent, Hattie Adger Memorial Cemetery.
You are invited to come and celebrate in this commemorative event, which also includes a Heritage of Heroes Parade & Festival in the village of Belcher on Saturday, May 27th. For more information regarding the festivities, please contact Gina Glover, Committee Chair by email at .
