There was also Bevo's on Hwy 90 or Broad street in Lake Charles or West of Lake Charles at the Texas border was a club I believe was called "The Big Oaks" and another by it that I think was called "Yvonne's". By the time I was old enough to go to clubs both of these were closed down. The Big Oaks was right on the Louisiana/Texas border and was "THE SPOT" because the drinking age in Louisiana was so much 18 and it was 21 in Texas. My ex played in a populare band in the late 50's through the mid 60's there but the name that you mentioned isn't one that I've ever heard before.
