In your queries you indicated the Bond family lived in Oakdale. They had their own community, known as Bond. A friend of mine [recently deceased] in the 1940's used to deliver meat and groceries to the Bond family. The community of Bond is located basically southeast of Oakdale, and for all practical purposes, on the Evangeline/Allen Parish line, however it is in Allen Parish.
