Have not found marriage record but found a reference to the year of marriage of Oliver and Rebecca. Probate 271, "Memorandum of Settlement Between O.P. Causey & Wife & J. P. Causey at the Morehouse Courthouse, Bastrop, LA, filed in 1889, reads, "The property on hand at Marriage of O. P. Causey in the latter part of the Year 1859 with widow of F. J. Causey as follows...." It lists the community property of the couple then determines the separate share due the Succession of O. P. Causey. It also states Rebecca's death occurred in April 1881. It was witnessed by R. B. Todd. We now have know when they married, not where.
