It is believed that they had a daughter named Cynthia R. "Bertie" Coates b.
3-22-1862 Caldwell Parish,LA

The proof of this is her death certificate her mother's maiden name was
Mason, but her mother's first name was not known. Also, her father's first
name was not known but was Coates.
This is from another researcher.
