Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous and Happy
New Year!!! I think 1998 is going to be the year that I find my
renegade Lacys!! My Lacys, William, Jonathan, James and Elizabeth
were in Williamsburg co. SC in 1810, 1820 and 1830 census. I believe
the family was in the Charleston area as early as 1774, where I see a
William in land records, there is also a Jonathan in 1778 and an
Edward in 1788-89. I do think they may be kin to the Col. Edward
Lacy family, possibly Wm could be a bro., but can't find a connection.
Does anyone know of a tie with the Charleston/Wmsburg co. SC Lacys
and Edward or any other Lacy branches? I am pretty sure that James
was b. 1800 Jonathan b. 1800-1810, Elizabeth b. 1798 and they are
probably the children of William. James m. Ruth Hicks, Elizabeth m.
James Gordon and Jonathan m. Sussaniah? Any info would be much
