Diane,

My Lacy family is that of Edward Lacy, Sr. and his wife, Sarah, of Fairfield
Co., CT. The blindness you mention in your Lacy family is most interesting.
At present I know of 3 people (two are siblings) in my extended Lacy family
who are blind or may become blind due to retinitis pigmentosa. The Rev. War
pension file of one member of my Lacy family has information that Jacob Lacy
was blind at least in his last years.

I'm convinced that all Lacys are related if we could only go back far enough.
I don't know where in England my Lacys came from but it's not impossible that
there is a relationship closer than 1000 to 1400 or so! Alas! We'll probably
never know.
