This is a direct line, apparently of the person involved in this Lacey
research.

Thomas Lacy and Catherine

Stephen Lacy, living in Hanover Co. in 1731, died 1772 in Goochland Co.
(will in book), 2nd wife Sarah, living when son applied for pension.

Elijah Lacy, born 1764 Hanover Co., VA, died 4-25-1846 Indiana, applied
for pension #10189, moved to Fayette Co., KY in 1805; Frankie Holland,
born 1766.

Try Jesse, Stephen H. and Peter all born between 1788-1797, say 1790 -
92 - 94.
(She's trying to figure which of these 3 are J.H.'s father. Notes in
margin read: father m. 1820, b. 1795).

John Henry Lacey, born 9-13-1820 KY, died 1-8-1867 KY. Will dated 1866
Logan Co., KY. Lived in Russellville, KY. Had a furniture factory which
burned before the war. Married 10-9-46 Robertson Co., TN, Eliz. Frances
Sumpter.

Richard Henry, b. 9-12-1851, d. 6-24-1915 (page is cut off here).

John Henry Lacey, born 9-12-1820, Salem, VA (Scotch, Norman, Irish),
wife Elizabeth Frances Sumpter, daughter Col. Edmund Randolph Sumpter,
cousin of Gen. Thos. Sumpter.

(Note in margin: b. 9-13-1820, d. 1-8-1867, m. 10-9-1846.)

There was a place "Ellwood", Spts. Co. where ancestors of Maj. J. Horace
Lacey, could of gen., was born. Was a Rev. J. Horace Lacey in Giles Co.
(1823-1906) and died Mount. Co. Feb. 14 --see clipping for desc.

In a History of Christian Co. p. 441, a George V. Lacy, b. 4-6-1838, the
youngest of 8? children of H?ezekiah Lacy & wife Hannah Johnson, of whom
only two were living in 1884 or 94 (hard to read). Hezekiah was a son of
Moses Lacey who came to Christian Co. in 1810 from near Frankfort, KY.
George V. Lacey mar. Lucy E. Meecham.
The history says Benjamin Lacy was an early settler and lived at Pilot
Knob in ?, came from N. C.

Morgan Co. Elkanah Lacey, Warren Co. John Lacey, Jefferson
Co. & many others -- Benjamin & others, Christian Co., Elkanah also had
a grant in Logan Co, part that became Warren.

This is the end of #2, due to a dirty typewriter that closed up some of
the numbers they are almost impossible to read, even with a magnifier.
There are still a few more pages, mostly about the family in VA.
