I have been waiting patiently (ha ha) for someone to tell about their Lacy
family in Virginia. I have a Rhoda Lacy born in Virginia about 1783. She
married Archibald Drake about 1800 in Isle of Wight or Southampton County,
Virginia. They then walked to Ohio about 1810/1815 where they settled down and raised
their 18 children. Archibald died in Ohio about 1853. Rhoda left there, and
went to Polk County, Missouri to live with some of her children, where she
died 18 February 1862. Her tombstone lists her as Rody Drake. Any help or
suggestions in finding any information on her parents or siblings will be very
much appreciated. I have tried for several years without any results.
