Margaret

Is it possible your Jordan Burton Lacy married Nancy Anderson in Alabama,
maybe Marengo or Sumter County?

I can't immediately find your Jordan Lacy, but 3 sons and one daughter of
William Hughes Lacy married Burton's. After W.H. Lacy died 1811 in Caldwell
Co Kentucky, a lot of the family went to Alabama (where the Anderson's
lived) for a while before moving on to other places. I think it is extremely
likely your Jordan is a grandson of William Hughes Lacy, but will need to
look into this more. Hazel Lawler's book on the Stephen Lacy line is very
good, but we are constantly working on revisions and additions. My copy is
full of penciled-in notations.

More later,

Clay Daniels

I have hit the wall with my Lacy line. We have Jordan Lacy b. abt 1800 m.
Nancy Anderson 1828-1830 and d. 2859 Stoddard CO, MO. Jordan could also be
named Jordan Burton or Burton Jordan Lacy. Children are
Louisiana Lacy m. Dr. Given Owens b. Hopkins CO, KY
James E. Lacy b. 1835, Livingston CO, KY
Sarah Ann Lacy b. 1838 Adair CO, KY
Chism Lacy b. 1842

Family information has Jordan Lacy and Family in the 1850 New Madrid County,
MO Census.

Any help would be appreciated. Margaret
