I can add a bit to the Elisha Lacy line:

Caroline, the wife of Elisha Lacy, was Caroline Nancy Walker Lacy. Was,
then, Walker her first husband or was it another middle name as was found
frequently in the Lacy family?

Their grandson, Martin Van Buren Lacy Jr., was married to Mary Lacy Perrin
at Grace Chapel in Kemper co., MS, at 5:30 P.M., 224 Dec. 1890 by the Rev.
E. B. Witherspoon. Kemper co. is across the line from Sumter co., AL. Grace
Chapel was a small, lovely Episcopal church at Giles. He died 2 Sept. 1896
at Scooba, MS, "after two days of intense suffering." They had two children:
Martin Van Buren Lacy III was born and died 27 Oct. 1891; Mary Elizabeth
Lacy was born 27 June 1893 near Giles, MS, in Kemper co., MS, and died 25
June 1917. Her husband was Dr. Marcellus C Garner who died at Meridian, MS,
11 Oct. 1922. They had no children.
