Greetings once again. Your help is very much appreciated. I live near Dallas Texas. ..originally from Louisiana and just recently started my search for ancestors. I am quite new at this but I do find it very interesting. For years I had heard of the "Goodwins", particularly Joel F. Goodwin. (son of John and Parthena). In fact, some in my family call me "Cage"...named after Cage Goodwin...(son of Joel F Goodwin). Several years ago there was a full page story on Joel Goodwin in the Logansport or Mansfield newspaper. It read like an old western with shoot-outs, trains, and saloons. I still have the article somewhere and I suppose it was this story that first piqued my interest. I hope to stay in contact with you and hopefully we can put this puzzle together. Thanks again and I look forward to hearing from you.
