HI:
I'm researching my mother's family, all of whom are from East Baton Rouge and
East Feliciana parishes dating at least to 1870.

CHARLES BROWN was born in 1839 in LA, died in 1879. He married AMANDA HOWARD,
daughter of POLLY HOWARD, who was brought from Talbot County, MD by a white
family.

**Charles had two sons with a previous wife, name unknown; he married Amanda
probably in 1868.

** I want to trace Charles' parentage, find out who the mother of his oldest
two sons was, and to find out who Amanda's father was.

** Also: Polly had 8 children, according to the Census; what happened to them?

** ABRAM/ABRAHAM McGhee, son of ABEL MCGHEE of Miss., was born in LA. He
married ROSA DAVIS, whose father I think was ALEX DAVIS.

**Rosa's sister SARAH was my grandmother's mother. Rosa and Abram raised her,
though. Sarah had a son, GUS YOUNG, and children with her husband CALVIN
JUDSON JR.

** I want to find Sarah and Rosa's parents; they also had a younger sister,
MISSOURI.
