After several weeks of watching this list, I'm finally getting around to
posting my own family line. Everything that I know has been handed down
by word of mouth through the family. I haven't devoted too much time to
trying to find any concrete evidence (records and such) yet. But here
is what I do know:
Antoine LaFONTAINE (1815-1888) married Elenore/Leonore (1816-1883). Son
Frederick was born 12 Jun 1839 in St. Isadore, Quebec. Around 1846 the
family moved to the U.S. initially settling in Saginaw, Michigan and
later moving to Fond du lac, Wisconsin approximately 5 yrs later.
Frederick married Josephine BAILLARGEON in Fond du lac on 22 Nov, 1876.
Josephine's parents were Herbert/Hubert BAILLARGEON and Eulalia GELL?.
Josephine was born 1 Dec 1856 in St. Jean Chrystome, Quebec. Frederick
died 9 Sept 1897 in Green Bay, WI. Josephine remarried Frederick
Bourdeoux/Bhirdo. She died 8 Aug 1931. Frederick LaFONTAINE and
Josephine's children were: Mary Phoebe, Mary Odile, Anthony Jerry
Norbert, Louis Frederic, Olive Emma, Mary Eulalie, Mary Florence,
Alphonsus Leo, Joseph Felix, and Leonie Aimie Eleanore. Alphonsus Leo
"Leo" was born 15 Oct 1890 in Egg Harbor, WI. He married Ludvina
SIMON. Their children were: Joseph Leo, Laurence Herman, and Marion
Sue. Leo died 23 July 1975.
If this family looks familiar to anybody, please contact me.
