I am looking for any info on my earliest proven Roach ancestor, Anthony (Antoine) L. Roach (Roache, Roche), who was born about 1792 in France and died in Beouf Prairie, Catahoula Parish, LA (now Franklin Parish, LA) on or about 10/10/1830. He is probably buried in the old Doyal family cemetery located on the Paul Turner place, near Ft Necessity, LA. He married ca. 1818 Mary Doyal (Doyle), b. Catahoula Parish (then Rapides), ca. 1802, d. there 1824, daughter of John L. and Leticia Gray Doyal. Children--John S. Roach, Abraham Roach, David Roach, Anthony Roach, Jr., and James or James F. Roach. Related surnames in this area of LA--Doyal, Shipp, Stampley, Ensminger.
