Seek burial or cemetery records for my gg-grandfaather, Rev. James Samuel GIEGER, a Baptist minister.

About 1850, he married Louisa HOUGH(b1831MS), we thought in Smith County MS, but Jean Strickland's book "Who Married Whom" lists Jasper County MS as site of
Marriage.

Grandmother Louisa was the daughter of Zeno & Charlotte HOUGH of Wayne, Smith, and Jasper Counties. Grandfather Samuel was born in Covington County, the son of Jesse & Tobitha GIEGER.

After grandfather Samuel's death, grandmother Louisa lived in Grant and Catahoula Parishes and her grandchildren were born there. His younger sisters lived in Caldwell Parish.
