Hello,

I am looking to find any information on the identity of

Elizabeth ?, wife of William WILLIAMS, born: Abt. 1790 in Maryland, died:
After 1840 in/near Liddieville, Franklin Parish, Louisiama, who moved to
Catahoula Parish, Louisiana sometime in the early 1800s maybe as an adult or as a
child with his parents....no clue. About 1840, Elizabeth ? and William WILLIAMS
moved to Franklin Parish, Louisiana. I am also looking for the names of the
parents and/or siblings of William WILLIAMS as well. Someone told me that
this William WILLIAMS may have had a brother named Otho Holland WILLIAMS and
William WILLIAMS did have a son named Otho WILLIAMS.

Elizabeth ? and William WILLIAMS were the parents of my maternal great
grandmother, Claranda "Clara" WILLIAMS, born: Abt. 1840 in either Catahoula or
Franklin Parishl, LA, who married my maternal great grandfather, Hudson
H./Hector?/Henry? SLAUGHTER, (CSA,) born: March 13, 1844 in Greene/Pickens County,
Alabama, (son of Susan CROUCH and John M. SLAUGHTER originally of Richmond County,
North Carolina.)

Claranda "Clara" WILLIAMS and Hudson SLAUGHTER were parents of Henry
SLAUGHTER, born: Bef. or Aft. 1869, whom I believe died in a horseback riding
accident at age 16 yrs. and my maternal grandfather, Louis Hector "Heck" SLAUGHTER,
born: February 14, 1869 in/near Liddieville, Franklin Parish, Louisiana, died:
January 18, 1938 near Forest, West Carroll Parish, Louisiana, whose 1st wife
was Mrs. Callie Martha MUNN ADAMS, (widow of Sam A.?/V.? ADAMS,) and 2nd wife
was Mary LEE and he married in his 60s to his 3rd wife, my maternal
grandmother, Mrs. Ethel Rosalie HATTEN WOMACK, (widow of Joseph Marion WOMACK, Sr..)

My grandfather, Louis Hector "Heck" SLAUGHTER, died when my mother was only 8
years old but she remembers him showing her a picture and telling her that
the couple in it were his grandparents, she believes, and that they were part
Indian and French. Now, so far, in researching the CROUCH-SLAUGHTER family I
haven't found any indications of French and/or Indian ancestry and some
indications were that the French might have been Acadian French and there were
WILLIAMS of Acadian descent in Maryland before 1790s who may have gone into Louisiana.

In addition, there is much reference to a General Otho Holland WILLIAMS but I
don't know if he is relatedn or if there was simply a naming for him;
however, I believe that he was from Maryland and may have moved to Louisiana.

Children of Elizabeth ? and William WILLIAMS

(1.) Claranda "Clara" WILLIAMS md: Hudson H./Hector?/Henry? SLAUGHTER
(2.) Otho Holland WILLIAMS md: Martha I. TARVER
(3.) John WILLIAMS
(4.) Margaret WILLIAMS
(5.) George WILLIAMS
(6.) Mary WILLIAMS
(7.) Enoch WILLIAMS
(8.) Uriah WILLIAMS

Any help on any of this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Bellinda Myrick-Barnett
