Have any of you ever come across Thomas Brown LaGRANGE of New York State?
He is mentioned in Gov. Thomas MIFFLIN's (of PA) will, written in 1797.
Wife is Maria MIFFLIN, most likely dau of the Gov. It seems that this same
Maria
md a Thomas SMITH several years later. What could have happened to Thomas
Brown LaGRANGE? He was probably born circa 1775, unless he was much older
than Maria. Perhaps he, or his father, was involved in politics or
government service in Philadelphia during the 1790s.

Any clues are welcome.
