daughter of William Carr and Adaline Mann.

MRS. SARAH T. CARR PREUETT DIES NEAR BETHEL
Mrs. Sarah Theresa Carr Preuett, widow of the late Henry D. Preuett
and for half a century a resident of the Bethel Community, died
there at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. H Irwin; last Friday
August 11, 1935, at the age of 82 years, 10 months, and 29 days.

Mrs. Preuett was born Sarah Theresa Carr, in Union Parish, on
Sept. 17, 1851. She was married to Henry D. Preuett on December 17,
1868, and to this union were born eleven children, four of whom,
with her husband have preceded her to the Great Beyond.
She is survived by six sons and one daughter ,as follows:
J.D. Preuett of Heflin, La;
Mrs. W.H. Preuett Irwin of Colfax Route 1
G.W. and H.A. Preuett, also of Colfax, Route 1
W.E. Preuett, Colfax Route 2
T.J. Preuett of DeQueen, Ark.; and
D.M. Preuett of Hargis, La

Services were held at the Bethel Baptist Church, Saturday afternoon at 3 O’
clock
Rev. W.F. Crooms officiating, interment was made in the Bethel Cemetery..

Mary Preuett Christy, 84, of Colfax died at 2 A.M. today in Rapides
General Hospital. She was a native of Grant parish, survivors include
her husband, W. Mack Christy of Colfax; two daughters, Annie Bell
Hodnett of Colfax and Birdie Lee Honeycutt of Dry Prong; three sisters
Amanda Richards and Willie Bell Frost, both of Colfax, and Georgia
Vinson of Alexandria,eight granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.

Services for Mary Preuett Christy were at 2 p.m Friday in the chapel
of Hixson Bros., Pineville with the Rev. Charles Floyd officiating.
Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial park Pineville. Pallbears were James
Hernandez , Obie Lavespere, Mike Creed, Mike Humphries, David Dees and
Jacob "Jack" Frost.

of Monroe La died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Francis Medical Center
in Monroe Louisiana. She was a member of Horseshoe Drive United
Methodist Church and a native of GRANT Parish. Survivors include five
sons, A.V.Vinson Sr of Monroe, Junior Vinson of Jena, Wayne Vinson of
Sealey Texas, Ray Vinson of Bossier City and Jesse Vinson of Baytown
Texas; one sister, Willie Bell Preuett Frost of Colfax, 13
grandchildren, 2o great-grandchildren and five great-great
grandchildren.

Services for Georgia Preuett Vinson were at 2.p.m. Monday in the Chapel
of Hixson Bros., Pineville with the Rev Ed Parks officiating. Burial
was in Forest lawn Memorial park, Pine ville. Pallbearers were Gary
Vinson, Carley Vinson, Butch Vinson, Ray Vinson, Chris Vinson and Virgil
Vinson.

ALMER EUGENE VINSON , 80 of Alexandria, died at 12:46 p.m. Saturday in
Alexandria. he was retired Colfax School Bus Driver, member of Horseshoe
Drive Methodist Church and native of Jackson Parish.

Survivors include his wife Georgia Preuett Vinson of Alexandria; six sons,
Emory Vinson of Alexandria, Virgil Vinson Sr of Monroe, Junior Vinson of
Jena,
Wayne Vinson of New Jersey, Ray Vinson of Bossier City and Jessie Vinson of
Crystal Springs Mississippi. One sister, Eula Carson of Jonesboro, 12
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Hixson Bros. with the
Rev. Jack Winegeart officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial
Park.
