Felton Griffin
GEORGETOWN -- Services for Felton Griffin will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in
First Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Griffin and Richard Debusk
officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery under direction of Hixson
Bros., Pineville.
Griffin, 66, of Dry Prong died Monday, April 26, 1999, in St. Frances
Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria. He was a member of VFW Post 1736 in
Alexandria. He was retired from the U.S. Army with 22 and a half years of
service as a Sgt. First Class, having served in Korea, Germany and two terms
of duty in Vietnam. Survivors include his wife, Gertie Griffin of Dry Prong;
four sons, Kenneth Griffin of Pineville, Donnie Griffin of Winnfield, James
Griffin of Pineville and Randy Griffin of Prospect; two daughters, Barbara
Griffin of Prospect and Cindy Price of Gaylord, Mich.; one brother, Lyndal
Griffin of Cortez, Colo.; two sisters, Vera Dabbs of Tullos and Virginia
Salmon of Summerset, Wis.; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
