Hi All Jefferson Parish Researches,
My name is Dee and I am the file manager for Jefferson and Plaquemines
Archives. I recently received permission from Bartley A. Bowers to use his
books in the archives. This is the first of more to come. Westlawn Cemetery
on Whitney Ave. Gretna La. Some of it is done being formatted and I should
have the rest by Monday. I have not updated the archives pages as of yet,
waiting to they are all done. Here are the addresses to the pages and what
letter everyone's last name begins with. The locations page is not finished
yet either. This will be a page of all the abbreviations to the actual
location in the cemetery. In Mr. Bowers book, he also list birth and death
dates when available to him. The "V" behind each burial date stands for if
that person was a veteran. I do hope you enjoy these pages. I will be adding
more soon.
