Hi Listers,

We seem to be on a roll at the moment with so much information surfacing.

I have completed my latest project which complements the previous marriage
file to give a complete listing of Lambie marriages in Scotland!

The OPR (Old Parochial Registers) of which only around 2,500 survive is the
main source of information in Scotland for births & marriages from 1555 -
1854.
Many of the entries are duplicated because these are records of the reading
of banns (an announcement of the intention to marry) and are complete with
some of the strange original spellings. Unlike the statutory index, these
records contain actual dates not just the year of marriage.

I have sorted the index by name, year, and parish on separate worksheets.

If you cannot find the marriage you are looking for here then you will
struggle to find any surviving record.
