Subject: Braehead and Botanic Gardens

My GGF Alexander SWEET (1843 to 1925) lived in Braehead, Cathcart. Can anyone
tell me if this is an area in Cathcart or a house? Some booklets I have read
suggest it is a house. If so, does anyone know if it is still standing and
its postal address? Many thanks.

His GF (Thomas Sweet of Sweet Copland and Lye) married a Catherine Robertson
(Daughter of John Robertson of Plantation) in 1789 in North Woodside House
opposite the Botanic Gardens. Does anyone know if this is, or was, a private
dwelling and what it might be now?

I would like to make contact with the owners of these properties to try to
extend the family tree facts and interest.
