In the 1881 census, my Thomas Aitken is shown as a joiner (carpenter). His
parents were Thomas Aitken and Ann Gilchrist. No further info.
I also have An Aitken married to James McLay. A McLay also married a Lennie.
Gets very complicated. Ann was born in Killearn, Stirlingshire. I do not
know if Ann was related to Thomas, but it is feasible with Lennie as the
common connection.
