Does anyone know when and why NORTH Portland Street disappeared?
I know it was there in 1889. But it had disappeared by1891 census.
Did they just "drop" the "North" and the street numbers remained the same?. ie.25 Nth Portland street became 25 Portland street. if so then does that mean there would now be two 25 Portland streets?
