Wm. McEWEN late of Glasgow d.7 Feb.1882 aged 36 years. Also ANDREW LEITCH d. 25 Aug 1897 aged 47 years.

This one had a big Celtic Cross:-
Memory of THOMAS BRAID who died on board R M S Roslin Castle 4 May 1893 ageb 53 years and his wife ELIZABETH MONTGOMERY d. Pietermaritzburg 24 Aug 1894 aged 53 years.Both formerly of Glasgow - Erected by a few friends in Scotland.

When I started transcribing the above it was my intention to write the introduction when I had finished.I have now tried unsuccessfully to do that so you will have to read it here.
Yesterday I was in Pietermaritzburg,kwaZulu/Natal, South Africa and for a brief period whilst the grass was evevtually being cut managed enter the usually locked old cemetary to take down the above inscriptions which had a reference to Scotland.I only scratched the surface.


Well I hope someone finds a lost/missing relative amongst the above.
