Hello List,
...first my thanks to all involved with the smooth transfer of this
list...Well Done...
...Next: I have some information (below) ...but I don't have the
"Foggiest" notion of what my next step should be...
...a family document from aprox 1620 says:
"In the village of Hulton, two and one half miles east of Lancaster,
England, near the mouth of the Irish Sea, where the river Lune flows, the
name of Walling is found as far back as Queen Elizabeth.
James, John and Thomas Walling being names used at regular intervals.
...These Wallings/Wallen went to Plymouth Colony in 1623, Ralph and Joyce
aboard the "Anne" and James, John and Thomas Walling/Wallen on board the
"Little John"
...Can any one help finding more about these people?... in England...How
do I gain information about the family going back in time...Where would
birth information about Ralph and Joyce Walling be maintained...
...Also Family rumor says that the name is really Wallingford...
...With some great help from Peter Hunt we searched the Wallingford
pattern... and I'm still waiting for snail mail replys...
...If any one has Walling/Wallen/Wallingford ties or has any ideas of
where to continue this search... please let me know...
...Thank you for any help provided...
