Can anyone help me with some Lancashire Geography ?

On the census I have an ancestor John FALLOWS born in Kirkby Lancs. On the IGI
I have found the same name born in Kirkby Ireleth, around the right date. On
my map I can find a place caled Kirkby (near Liverpool) and a place called
Ireleth, in Furness, but no Kirkby Ireleth !!

Can someone enlighten me on whether Kirkby & Kirkby Ireleth are the same place
?
